On Tuesday September 2, the Bullitt County Health Department became one of two of the last counties in the state to begin using the sliding fee scale as mandated by the Kentucky Department for Public Health. Through negotiations with the state, rather than put all services we offer on the sliding fee scale, we were able to assign a nominal fee to most of our services. The most significant change affected by the sliding fee scale is our Breast and Cervical Cancer program services will now slide according to income and household size. Family Planning services and Well Child/School Physicals will remain on the sliding fee scale. As always, no one will be denied services due to inability to pay.
