Diabetes 101 is a series of four, 2 hour classes that provide comprehensive diabetes self-management education. They are designed for the newly diagnosed person with diabetes or as a refresher course for those who may not have had diabetes education for awhile.

The class schedule is as follows:

              Class One- Diabetes overview, acute complications, sick days and goal setting.

Class Two- Eating Healthy, being physically active and alternative therapies.

Class Three- Medications, monitoring and management, coping.

Class Four- Diabetes and cardiovascular disease, kidneys, nerves and eyes, food, skin care and dental health.

 

The classes will be held on Wednesdays from 2:00 PM-4:00 PM:

June 23, 2010        June 30, 2010        July 7, 2010        July 14, 2010

All classes will be in the Cundiff Conference room of the Bullitt County Health Department. Please call and register, we will place a reminder call as class approaches.  Please sign in at the front desk.
